The “L’ORÉAL-UNESCO For Women in Science” program has been working in Spain for more than 20 years to recognize and promote the work of female scientists in Spain and encourage vocations among the youngest. And it has done so through various initiatives to make Spanish researchers visible, their work and demand full equality in science through Among these, the “L’ORÉAL-UNESCO For Women in Science” Research Awards stand out to support the research of young Spanish scientists. Each year, the program awards five Awards, of fifteen thousand gross euros (€15,000) each to the projects of Spanish post-doctoral researchers, presented by their work centers or institutions. Among the requirements for its granting, the scientific quality of the research project and its contribution to science and society stand out, as well as the career and merits of the researcher who develops it. The projects are analyzed by a technical evaluation commission; and then by a prestigious jury that will determine the five winners.
