Among these, the “L’ORÉAL-UNESCO For Women in Science” Research Awards stand out for supporting the research of young Spanish female scientists. Each year, the program awards five grants, each worth fifteen thousand euros gross (€15,000), to research projects by postdoctoral Spanish women researchers, submitted by their centers or institutions of employment. Key requirements for the award include the scientific quality of the research project and its contribution to science and society, as well as the track record and merits of the researcher conducting it.
The projects are reviewed by a technical evaluation committee and then by a prestigious jury that will select the five winners.
